How many treatments are required?
Microblading is typically completed in more than one visit. The initial session creates the shape and hair strokes, and a follow-up appointment allows Sarvi to evaluate healing, reinforce pigment, and make any necessary adjustments.
Is Microblading Considered Tattooing?
Microblading is a form of semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing, but the technique and appearance are different from a traditional body tattoo. Fine strokes are created to resemble natural eyebrow hairs rather than a solid tattooed brow.
Can you correct previous microblading or permanent makeup?
In some cases, yes. Previous work must be evaluated first because the existing pigment, color, shape, and saturation can affect what is possible. Send clear photos or schedule a consultation so Sarvi can determine the best approach.

Who should not have microblading?
Microblading may not be appropriate for everyone. Clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding, have an active skin infection or irritation in the brow area, have certain bleeding or healing disorders, are taking blood-thinning medications, or have recently had certain cosmetic or medical treatments may need to postpone or avoid the procedure.
If you have a medical condition, take prescription medications, have had previous permanent makeup, or are unsure whether microblading is appropriate for you, please contact Sarvi before booking. A consultation and health-history review may be required.
Does microblading hurt?
Most clients are very comfortable during the procedure. When you arrive, Sarvi applies a professional prescription-strength numbing cream to the brow area and allows about 30 minutes for it to take effect before beginning. If you become uncomfortable at any point, she can pause, apply additional numbing product, and allow it time to work before continuing.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
- Avoid shaping, waxing, threading, or tinting your eyebrows for at least one week prior. Stray hairs will be managed during the procedure.
- Schedule vacations at least 30 days post-procedure to allow for proper healing.
- If you are considering pausing blood-thinning medications (e.g., Vitamin E, aspirin, or ibuprofen), first check with the doctor who prescribed them; do not stop prescribed medication without medical guidance. If your doctor approves a pause, follow their instructions regarding timing.
- Avoid alcohol and caffeine, including decaf coffee, for 48 hours prior.
- No Botox for 3 weeks before and after microblading; wait until touch-up healing is complete for new Botox.
- Accutane users must wait one year, and doxycycline users should wait up to 6 months before microblading.
- Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for 30 days before and after the procedure. Fresh tans or sunburns will result in rescheduling and deposit loss.
- Adhering to these guidelines ensures optimal results for your microblading treatment.
What is the healing process like?
After your procedure, mild swelling and tenderness may occur but will subside within a few hours. The pigment will appear darker during the first week and gradually fade as the skin exfoliates in the second week. By weeks 4 to 8, the pigment will settle into its final color. A follow-up Enhancement Session around 6 weeks is recommended to perfect the color, symmetry, and shape.
